What we do

The Food Library is a collection of books owned and shared to inspire and celebrate the processes of growing, cooking, eating and drinking.

The Food Library is a starting point for its collectors to create curious infusions, preserves and food events using home grown, seasonal and environmentally friendly produce.

Its collectors are Michael Mayhew & Laura Elliott, who run The Food Library from their home in Northampton.

The Food Library opened for the first time on January 25th 2020 and is now open fortnightly on Saturdays for members to enjoy the books and home cooked food. Michael & Laura have also started a regular Dining Club and will soon host other special events throughout the seasons.

Look the “events” page for information about how to book one of the forthcoming Dining Club meals. The next event will be on Saturday 20th May. Watch this space for the menu and booking details to be released shortly.
